A Tribute to his Grandmother: Thai Cuisine Prestige Experience at Nusara

Nusara is the name of chef Ton's beloved grandmother, who is his culinary inspiration and the driving force behind the establishment of Nusara. Furthermore, Nusara is the Thai restaurant that we will be reviewing today.

Chef Ton had planned to create a tourist-friendly bar called Mayrai before opening Nusara. However, following the death of his grandmother, he chose to rename it to Nusara and changed from a bar to a restaurant for 12 chef table courses that can accommodate 10 - 12 people.

Tha Tian, Maha Rat Road, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Bangkok is the address of the restaurant. It's on the opposite side of Wat Arun, a popular tourist attraction in Thailand, and close to Wat Pho, another popular tourist destination.

In comparison to Chef Ton's Lahn Yai, Nusara is more classical and clings to Thai tradition, as evidenced by the course. Spicy squid salad is a popular Thai street food; however, it has been enhanced by adding thinly sliced squid, cucumber, and heirloom tomato. It's served as a dumpling that you can eat in one mouthful. Crab spicy curry with betel leaf and horseshoe crab roe is another example of the classic style. A generous portion of crab meat with a powerful but not overly spicy taste made this dish easy to enjoy. The dessert is equally noteworthy. A pleasant dish is sago with young coconut served with coconut milk and chestnut. The dish is highly sweet thanks to the sugar that's mixed with sago, and the flavor is lightened by using coconut milk.
